Estate Planning

After years of litigation, Mr. Schoen understands the importance of Estate Planning. Simple Wills are both inexpensive and solid Estate Planning for most people.  Some, for various reasons, need more specific and/ or complex considerations for creating their Estate Plan.  This can include the need for, or at least considering, a Trust.  Certainly Key Schoen can provide clients with Wills, and when needed, Trusts.

Other documents can be provided – including “Living Wills” (or sometimes called “Health Care Surrogate”). Also, “Power of Attorney” (POA) documents certainly can be provided, and is now a standard part of Estate Planning.  Mr. Schoen can also provide advice from years of experience in litigation involving POA documents.

Elder Law

Elder Law is an emerging area of law, as we are living longer.  Numerous issues may arise for most everyone beyond the age of 60 years – to include Retirement; Social Security; Medicare; Power of Attorney Documents; Trusts; Exploitation and/ or Elder Abuse; and many more.  Mr Schoen has helped with Court/ potential Court matters dealing with Elder Law.  Morever,  to the extent a person’s problem or issue is not something Mr. Schoen handles, he certianly knows the Lawyers who can help.

Mediation Services

Because Key Schoen has been devoted to this area of the law, he has been approached by attorneys to act as a Mediator to Estate/ Trust matters. While Mr Schoen had not publicly offered these services before now, he has accepted when asked, and found he clearly has insight and ability to help parties come to a mediated agreement.
